This course introduces students to the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and drone mapping using free open-source software. The course consists of online learning materials, computer lab work, and a final assignment.

Geocomputing on the supercomputer
This course teaches the basics of geocomputing on a supercomputer through a combination of lectures and hands-on activities. The main focus of the course is CSC Puhti supercomputer, where all hands-on exercises will be done.
The CSC services discussed in this course are free-of-charge for academic research, education and training purposes for Finnish higher education institutions and state research institutes (subsidized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland).

Practical machine learning with spatial data
This course gives a practical introduction to machine learning with spatial data, both to shallow learning and deep learning models, including convolutional neural networks (CNN).
